There are many ways of getting involved with Biotecture Planet Earth.
Volunteer on a specific project
If you would like to participate in one of our specific projects, please visit the project page. Please note that volunteers usually donate a fee to be on a project and to work alongside the Earthship building crew, this fee varies depending on each project.
The volunteer fees are the major funding for our projects, and go directly to the project the volunteer signs up for. These funds are used for purchasing the building materials, transport costs, and on ground expenses to get the build done.
In return, our volunteers will learn valuable knowledge on every project about Earthships and how to build them by especially contracted Earthship experts and experienced crew.
Volunteer in other ways
Biotecture Planet Earth always needs help with fundraising and marketing related tasks. If you would like to help, have a source for fundraising, or would like to get more involved in the organizational part of Biotecture Planet Earth, please email info@biotectureplanetearth.org
“Thank you for your guidance in my preparation for my trip to Haiti to participate in building an earthship classroom. It was a wonderful experience and I am very happy that I went!”
Pat, Haiti Earthship project, 2017
“As an average Canadian volunteering for an Earthship Biotecture (EB) build I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I was unfamiliar with the practices of this American based company. But after the two-week build, for a family living on Six Nations of the Grand River, I learned that the self-reliant and re-generative Earthships are much more than just beautifully designed signifiers of a sustainable and affordable future. I learned that respecting the land, encouraging communal living, and re-thinking our lifestyle choices was a far much bigger umbrella this company is trying to stretch, globally. And to many whom also lost their Canadian Earthship virginity (a truly emotional and maturing journey), I can say many of us walked away with the knowledge and drive to continue drawing this incomplete circle of a sustainable yet colourful future.”
Brodie, Six Nations Earthship Build, 2016
“What a trip. This was a chance to learn about Earthships from the ground up and. 56 of us (from 22 different countries!) were divided into groups of 8 to get hands on experience of tyre pounding, roofing, water work, bottle work etc. The ES staff taught us by showing us how to be safe and then giving us ownership of our work. The friendships remain, forged creating music around the fire, walking through the Malawi outback and working along side the locals. Many of the group went on to create projects of their own inspired by our time in Kapita. Quite simply a life changing experience – go for it!”
Patrick, Malawi Earthship Community Center, 2013
